Zlatna Era is a small digital publishing project that I run myself. I specialise in restoring and distributing Golden Age comics whose copyright has expired and which have therefore entered the public domain.
What we do
Every edition in the shop goes through the same process: we find a good scan of the original issue, put the pages in order, check the file for completeness, and give it a cover to make the choice easier. We are not selling access to something exclusive — we are selling selection and preparation.
Why it is public domain
Comics published in the United States before 1964 are protected by copyright only if the rights were renewed. The great majority of titles from that period were never renewed, and many of their publishers have long since ceased trading. These works may therefore be distributed without restriction. We state the specific reason for each product in its description.
